What it means
BA30 covers the journey that never started: attempting to drive while disqualified. The law does not wait for motion, the disqualified driver in the seat working the ignition is already there, and the code carries BA10's flat 6 and the same courtroom exposure under s. 103 RTA 1988. Its practical home is the interrupted start, and the argument is nearly always about what counts as an attempt rather than about the ban, which is a matter of record.

BA is the smallest family with the widest spread. BA40 and BA60, causing death or serious injury by driving while disqualified, s. 3ZC and s. 3ZD RTA 1988, came in 2015, carry 3 to 11 points, and their 4-year clock runs from conviction instead. No code here has a fixed penalty route: a disqualified driver at the wheel is charged, not ticketed.
