What it means
DG10 is the specified-limit code for drugs, s. 5A RTA 1988, and it works like the breathalyser's colder cousin: cross the limit and the offence is complete even where the driving was never affected, no impairment needs showing (gov.uk, checked 2026-07-22). The real courtroom argument is the medicinal side: the statutory defence applies where the drug was prescribed and taken as advised, which is why these cases turn on dosage records rather than driving. Like DR10, the points are the exception's arithmetic: the usual outcome is the ban of 12 months or more, and the code sits 11 years on the record from conviction.
