What it means
MR19 is the hit-and-run entry of the mutual recognition set: a ban imposed in the Republic of Ireland for wilfully failing in the duties that follow an accident. The GB record shows the ban, no points, for 4 years from the date of conviction; the domestic cousins are AC10 and AC20.

The MR codes are mutual recognition: a driving ban imposed in the Republic of Ireland, given effect on the GB record. Six codes mirror the conduct, MR09 dangerous driving through MR59 the catch-all, but none carries points; the ban is the entry, and it stays for 4 years from the date of conviction. The geography is narrower than older write-ups suggest: on the current list, bans from Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man are recorded as NE99, not under MR. DVLA shows the entries to the driver and to third parties such as insurers and the police, and a ban of 56 days or more means renewing the licence, for a fee, before driving again.
